Who makes it

CPCK (CyClone Power Card Keeper, or Card Keeper) is an Android app from CyClone, built by one developer. It is sold on Cafe Bazaar.

It is not a payment app and moves no money.

What the app stores

The app keeps three things: the card number, the IBAN (Sheba) number, and the name you give each item. All three stay on your phone.

It does not store the CVV2, the expiry date, the card PIN or any passwords.

Internet and servers

The app has no internet access at all. There is no server, no account and no cloud sync, and the app has no analytics, crash reports or ads.

Nothing is sent anywhere, and the developer never receives any of your data.

Camera

The camera is the only permission the app asks for, and only when you scan a card. The image is used on the phone to read the number and is not saved. Only the number you choose to keep is stored.

App lock

The app lock is optional and stays off until you turn it on. It works with a password, and with fingerprint or face if your phone offers them.

Android itself checks the fingerprint or face; the app never receives biometric data. The lock password stays on the phone.

Backup

The app excludes its data from Android's phone and cloud backups, so saved cards never leave the phone, not even in a backup. The limit: when you move to a new phone, your list does not come along.

Purchase

Cafe Bazaar handles payment and the licence check, under its own privacy policy. The app and the developer do not receive your payment details.

Deleting your data

You can delete any item in the app. Uninstalling the app removes all its data from the phone.

Changes to this policy

Any change to this policy is published on this page with a new date.
